THOR POLINI CROSSES PORTUGAL

THOR POLINI CROSSES PORTUGAL

An adventure of over 800km with 16h and 45 minutes flying for 2 days.
These are Nicolas Aubert’s figures who looked for the challenge into the challenge, giving to Polini Motori another incredible goal.

Born in 1997 in Marbella, Spain, the young paramotor pilot who fights with the Thor 202 has been protagonist of a unique adventure between breath taking Portuguese landscapes.

He left from his country, exactly from Viana Do Castelo, he flew with the Thor 202 towards south alone, without any logistical support, till Sagres. He landed near the petrol stations for refueling and he slept in a tent. A challenge that has a taste of record. Nicola flew in extreme conditions and with strong wind, above all in the area closed to the airports and flying over the majestic Portugues beaches with their big cliffs. Two long days, with many hours of flight that gave to the Polini Thor’s fans the possibility to discover and see magic places from the top.

Nicolas Aubert
“During this journey, I was flying with the THOR 202. Thanks to its low fuel consumption, I was able to make very long flights, and its power allowed me to take off from places I would have never imagined possible. During this journey, the engine performed very well, and I had no problems at all. The best part is that the new engine component we are testing now has worked wonderfully. I Can’t wait to discover new countries!”

Iuri Polini
“The collaboration with Nicolas has been very fruitful both for the competitions and for the tests; he is a young and decisive pilot. Every adventure is a challenge to “make the best even better”, that has always been our motto.  We are proud to have been partner of this adventure, above all, when crossing Portugal, we tested new components that will be soon on the market. We look forward for the next challenge together!”
