Polini on the podium of the FAI World Paramotor Slalom Championships
The 6th edition of the FAI World Paramotor Slalom Championships has been a very intensive challenge, full of emotions and with many coup-de-théâtre.
The competitions took place from February 3rd to 13th in Doha Qatar, between the futuristic lines of the skyscrapers and the desert dunes, the most attending competition in the world of paramotor has seen again Polini Thor engines and their pilots great protagonists of the event.
FAI has organized the event in all the details, but unfortunately the unusual weather for Qatar, with rain and wind, influenced some days.
Polini Motori, official partner of this event, was on the race field to offer the assistance to all the pilots flying with Polini engine, confirming to be one of the protagonists of the event. An important presence, granting to the athletes the maximum professionality with solutions of race set-up.
The Polini Thor 303 engine conquered the podium of all the categories: 2nd and 3rd position of the PF1, 3rd position of the PL1 Trike and the victory of the female category.
During the PF1 qualification rounds the Polini Thor 303 has always been in the first positions of the ranking, with 3 pilots in the first 3 positions during the day of the finals (Alex Mateos, Cyril Planton and Jeremy Penone). The final competition has changed the positions gained during the qualification rounds, finishing with 2nd and 3rd places for Jeremy Penone and Alex Mateos.
Great performance also for Cyril Planton, the French pilot that finished 7th, after having been in 2nd position for all week, only missing out on the podium in the final due to a mistake. Good race for Nicolas Aubert too, in his first official race with Polini Team, sixth, very close to the top five.
In the PL1 single-seater Trike category Boris Tysebaert was leader of the ranking until the final, where he finished 3rd by just 4 thousandths of a second.
Fantastic victory for Morgane Planton with Thor 202; from the beginning the best among the women, author of a perfect race, leading her to conquer the first step of the women’s podium.
Extraordinary 2nd position for Polini also in the team competition with the French team with Aubert, Tysebaert, Planton, Magnan.
