POKER FOR POLINI THOR ENGINES DURING THE SLALOM OPEN SPANISH CHAMPIONSHIP
Another great success for the Thor 250 Polini Thor engine during the Slalom of the Open Spanish Championship that took place last week in Bornos and recognized at international level as replacement stage of the World Championship.
The “Made in Italy” by Polini Motori has achieved an extraordinary poker at the end of the 7 races with 49 pilots coming from nine different countries.
Alex Mateos, Nicolas Aubert and Bartosz Nowincky conquered, respectively the three steps of the podium during this intentional event with a perfect Marie Mateos who was fourth in the general ranking and first in the Women category.
To underline that for Marie Mateos this is the best international result never achieved in the Slalom Category, thanks to an impeccable race, so close to the podium.
Marie Mateos: “What a race! To finish so close to the podium it’s an unbeatable satisfaction! It’s the first time I’m so close to the podium in the Slalom Category and I’m very happy for this result, above all keeping in mind that on 7 manches raced, I finished for 4 times in third position”
Alexandre Mateos: “We worked hard to reach this result. The race could not be so good and I’m really very happy to the goal achieved.”
Nicolas Aubert: “I’m very satisfied because I managed to be constant during the race and to be within the 4th place in 7 races. I’m very happy of the power and performance of my Thor 2050. Now I have to go on and train during the winter to be ready for the 2020 season.”
